About us

Sicilia Paws supports the daily animal rescue work of a relative in Sicily. She takes dogs and cats off the streets, nurses them back to health, feeds and cares for them, and has them neutered or sterilized at her own expense. She often cares for around 30 animals at the same time. For this, she gives her time, her property and her money. Because this care takes so much time, there is no capacity for the website, Instagram and administration. That is why a supporter in Germany handles the online presence (website and Instagram) — as simply as possible for the rescuer on site. Donations mainly help with food, medicine and materials (e.g. coverings for the enclosures). Construction would take place on site above all, funds are lacking. There is no adoption fee; adopters cover legally required services such as microchipping, neutering and vaccinations as long as donations cannot cover them. All support goes towards this work for the animals.
